Nithari killings: Pandher's narco-analysis completed

Gandhinagar, Jan 9 (UNI) The narco-analysis examination of Nithari serial killings prime accused Moninder Singh Pandher was completed here today.

The analysis which started at 1500 hrs took over six hours to complete and a civil surgeon was present throughout the proceedings to make sure that Pandher's condition remained stable.

Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS) Director J M Vyas said Pandher was cooperative during the tests.

''Moninder did not pose any problems and was comfortable during the tests,'' Dr Vyas told reporters.

Yesterday, the narco-analysis tests of co-accused Surendra Koli were completed and Dr Vyas said both of them will stay here for follow-up checks tomorrow.

''We will bring them here tomorrow for follow-up checks but I can't say how long the entire process will take,'' he said.

Refusing to confirm media reports on Surendra admitting to cannabalism, Dr Vyas said the DFS was yet to reach any conclusion.

''I can not make any comment right now because we are yet to arrive at any conclusion,'' he said.

Meanwhile, DFS Deputy Director Dr SL Vaya, who heads the Forensic Psychology Department said the information gathered from the accused will be helpful.

''We have made all the recordings and we will be able to arrive at some conclusion,'' she said.

When asked about the line of questioning adopted during the tests, Dr Vaya said, ''We probed them on two angles. One was what the accused wanted to say and the other was what the investigators wanted to know.'' Pandher's brain-mapping and polygraph tests were completed yesterday and only the narco-analysis was left, The duo, flown in here on January 5 for the tests, are allegedly involved in sexually abusing and murdering 30 children at Nithari, a village in Noida township of Uttar Pradesh and the tests are a part of the investigations.

Of the 30 children, killed over a period of two-year, 17 skeletal remains have been unearthed so far.
