MNS releases list of 72 candidates

Mumbai, Jan 9 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray today released a list of 72 candidates for the forthcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.

Raj, the estranged nephew of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, is now posing a major challenge to his parent party by fielding candidates in all the 227 constituencies.

Talking to UNI, Mr Raj Thackeray said, ''My list of 72 candidates includes Dalits, Muslims and Christains.'' ''Within a couple of days the names of the remaining candidates will also be announced,'' he added.
