Minister denies Cong claim

Guna, MP, Jan 9 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Backward Classes Minister Rustam Singh, a former Indian Police Service officer, has denied the Congress state Vice-President Sobran Singh Mawai's statement he was shifting loyalties to the main opposition Congress.

''After resigning from the Service, I joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was then in the opposition. I observed discipline and nationalism in the BJP. As minister, I have never wrongly interfered with administrative work,'' he said yesterday at a press conference here.
