Militants wash off hands from attacking Editor

Imphal, Jan 9 (UNI) Most militant outfits in Manipur have ruled out their involvement in the recent attack on the Editor of a local daily ''Kangla Pao''.

The United National Liberation Front (UNLF) said in a statement it was not involved in the incident that took place on December 20.

It condemned the attempt on the life of the Editor.

The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) and the Editors Forum Manipur (EFM) have sought clarifications from the perpetrators.
