Militants threaten to disrupt poll activities
Imphal, Jan 9 (UNI) The Kuki Liberation Army(KLA) has announced that it will impose a ban on the activities of the Secular Progressive front (SPF) government during the coming ninth Manipur Assembly Elections in February for its alleged failure to take up issues related to Kuki tribes.
The Kuki Revolutionary organisations, operating in the state, had entered into a truce with the KLA in August 2005 but the present government did not show interest in the matter, KLA sources said.
It
said,

prayers,
the
SPF-led
Manipur
government
did
not
pay
heed
to
the
peace
initiative
taken
up
by
the
various
Kuki
revolutionary
groups
and
the
army.''
