Manisha Koirala, brother share screen space in 'Anwar'
Lucknow, Jan 9 (UNI) Bollywood actor Manisha Koirala and her brother Siddharta would share the screen space for the first time in 'Anwar' slated for release on Friday.
Manisha plays the role of a TV journalist, while Siddhartha portrays Anwar -- a young artiste trapped in a temple mistaken as a terrorist.
The film's producer Rajesh Singh said that the drama focuses on a young artist, who decides to leave his home ''to escape a world he no longer recognises.'' ''Anwar is abandoned by his mentor, while his best friend and his love betray him.'' Devastated and emotionally exhausted, the protagonist takes refuge in an old building, only to wake up the next morning to find his world turned upside down.
Mistaken for a terrorist, Anwar finds himself in the midst of an unusual set of circumstances.
Shot in various locations in Uttar Pradesh, the plot of 'Anwar' revolves around the boy, who becomes the focal point of the nation's.
A corrupt minister pitching for votes and two journalists on the look out to resurrect their careers decide to focus on Anwar for their advantage, the producer added.
