Ficci appoints Habil Khorakiwala as new President

New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) Mr Habil Khorakiwala has been appointed as the new President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci), replacing Mr Saroj Poddar at the conclusion of the 79th Annual General Meeting held here today.

Mr Khorakiwala is the Chairman of Wockhardt Ltd, one of the leading Indian pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in India.

He holds a Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Science from the Purdue University (US) and is an alumni of the Harvard Business School.

Meanwhile, India Cements Ltd Vice Chairman and Managing Director N Srinivasan will be the new senior Vice President of Ficci and Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Jupiter Capital has been elected as the Vice-President, Ficci.
