DIO flags off mobile health unit of JSW Foundation

Visakhapatnam, Jan 9 (UNI) The District Immunisation Officer (DIO) J Sarojini today flagged off the mobile health unit of Jindal South West (JSW) Foundation here for the tribals in the agency areas.

Speaking on the occasion, she lauded the JSW Aluminium Limited for coming forward to launch a mobile health unit here to cater to tribals.

She urged the management of the Foundation to extend medical services and health education to tribals in coordination with the government doctors in agency areas.

JSW Foundation Project Head R C Swain said the foundation's objectives, included improvement of health, education, sports, women empowerment in the project areas of JSW Aluminium Ltd.

Plans were afoot to start a Vocational Training Centre for tribal youth at Araku mandal shortly, he added.
