Bail granted to orthopaedic professor in bribery case
Thrissur Jan 9 (UNI) Vigilance Enquiry Commissioner and Special Judge P Q Berkathali today granted bail to Dr P Asokan, Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics at the Kottayam Medical College Hospital, on executing a bond of Rs 25,000 and surety of two persons.
He was also ordered to be present before the investigating officer on all Mondays.
The judge directed the Vigilance Dy SP, Kottayam, to file a case against Dr Asokan under provisions of the Anti-Corruption Act and investigate.
Dr Asokan was arrested in connection with a bribe case.
