Appeals made to release kidnapped children

Imphal, Jan 9 (UNI) The All Manipur Christian Organisation(AMCO) has appealed to the kidnapers to release the two boys kidnapped from Senapati district on December 14.

"Children are the gift of God to mankind, without them there will be no future," sources from AMCO said.

They expressed their deep concern over the kidnap of Moheni Martin and Hriinii Hubert, both aged l0, from their home at Rikhumei village by unknown persons.

The AMCO demanded that the state government should take prompt action to ensure their safe return. It charged the government with remaining a 'mere spectator' to this incident.

Earlier, sit-in protests and rallies to demand the safe release of the two children were held here.
