AP setting ''wrong precedence'': Sashidhar
Hyderabad, Jan 9 (UNI) National Disaster Management Authority member Marri Sashidhar Reddy MLA today said the Andhra Pradesh government was setting a ''bad precedence'' by not adhering to Article 10 of the table of precedence of the Union Government.
''There will only be anarchy if any State refuses to accept the table of precedence'', Mr Reddy, who holds the status of a Union Minister of State by virtue of being a member of the NDMA headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, told reporters here.
Under the table of precedence, a member of the NDMA, Deputy Chief Ministers and Planning Commission Vice-chairman enjoy the status of Union Minister of State, he said.
He would write to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil as this would set a ''wrong precedent'', he added.
In reply to a communication from the State Government, the Centre had earlier clarified that it could not selectively exclude some person from the table of precedence, he pointed out.
