250 huts gutted in Ballia

Ballia, Jan 9 (UNI) Around 250 shanties were gutted after a raging inferno broke out here under Bansdih police station area today.

Police said the incident led to the loss of property worth lakhs of rupees.

The fire could only be extinguished after fire fighters reached the spot late evening.

The reason behind the incident was not yet known.
