Two killed, five hard core militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, Jan 8 (UNI) Two persons were killed and five hard core militants arrested in different incidents during the past 24 hours in Manipur.

Police said an unidentfied man kidnapped by suspected ultras was found shot dead in Imphal and one person trying to cross over from Myanmar was shot dead by the Army.

They said a cadre of United National Liberation Front was arrested. Later troops of 19 Assam Rifles-based on specific information, apprehended two cadres of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP).

Imphal East police have also nabbed two cadres of Naga National Liberation Army (NNLA).
