Severe cold waves in Rajasthan

Pune, Jan 8 (UNI) Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Rajasthan and cold waves also prevailed in Punjab, Haryana and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh and of Jammu and Kashmir.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Orissa and in some parts of Jharkhand, Bihar and were below normal in some parts of south Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and in remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh.

They were appreciably above normal in Assam&Meghalaya, Tripura, Sikkim, Gujarat Region and in some parts of Saurashtra. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gujarat, Konkan&Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
