Shillong, Jan 8 (UNI) A mentally unstable man today made into the chamber of Meghalaya minister in-charge Brenning A Sangma and threatened to kill him if he failed to cough off Rs one lakh.

The incident occurred at the official chamber of Mr Sangma at the secretariat. "He threatened to kill me with a knife if I fail to give him Rs. One lakh," Mr Sangma told UNI later.

The accused who was identified as Willshai Lyngdoh was found to be a mentally unstable person.

Police arrested Lyngdoh and seized the knife from his possession.
