KSU demands release of its two activists
Shillong, Jan 8: The Khasi Students' Union (KSU) today demandedrelease of its two activists, suspects in the recent bomb explosion inthe state.
The two were arrested on January 3 from their houses at Mawlai onsuspicion of being actively involved in the explosion at a localgarment shop in downtown Shillong. Four persons were injured in theexplosion.
The government should release them at the earliest, KSU president Samuel Jyrwa told UNI.
He said if the government failed to comply with its demand, then they would decide its course of action.
Meanwhile, a local court has remanded the duo to judicial custody.
