Jalandhar continue to be hit by cold wave
Jalandhar, Jan 8 (UNI) People in Jalandhar continued to experience chill under sub zero temperatures with Adampur airport again recording minimum temperature of minus 2.2 degrees Celsius last night.
There has been no let up in the cold wave despite a minor rise in the mercury during the past 24 hours at a few places in Punjab. Night temperatures at places like Amritsar and Ludhiana were still hovering around the freezing point, an official spokesman said, quoting Air Force Met Centre data.
Ludhiana (Halwara airport) recorded minimum temperature of 0.4 degrees Amritsar 0.8 degrees and Pathankot recorded 2.0 degrees last night, the spokesman said.
Adampur airport has been recording sub zero temperatures for past six days.
