Honda targets 3 pc rise in US sales in 2007

Detroit, Jan 8: Honda Motor Co Ltd is targetingU.S. sales increase of 3 percent in 2007, President and Chief ExecutiveTakeo Fukui said on Sunday.

The sales increase will be driven by higher demand for its Civicmid-size sedan, Fit compact car and CR-V sports utility vehicle, Fukuitold reporters on the sidelines of the North American InternationalAuto Show.

Honda expects overall auto industry sales to be flat in 2007 compared to the previous year, he added.
