Harbinger Group announces expansion plans

Pune, Jan 8 (UNI) Pune-based global provider of software products and services, Harbinger Group, today announced its expansion plans for 2007 and its software product achievements last year.

Company Executive Director Ms Swati Ketkar said ''The company has projected a revenue growth of 40 per cent for the current fiscal at the group level and a staggering 150 per cent in the product business and has plans to increase this further during the next fiscal.'' To meet the increasing business requirements, the company will add 5,000 sq ft to its current area immediately. In addition, it will be building another office with a capacity of 200, which will be fully operational by the end of this year thereby increasing the total capacity to 500 employees, she said.

Harbinger's Raptivity (www.raptivity.com), the world's first rapid interactivity builder for elearning, has achieved market leadership within the first year of its launch and currently commands 76 per cent global market share in a rapidly expanding market. Harbinger was ranked in the Global top 20 Specialized Learning Process Providers list by TrainingOutsourcing.com, a leading analyst in business strategies for learning, based in Cary, North Carolina, USA.

The Harbinger product has gained immense popularity within the global community of trainers, educators and subject matter experts.

In just one year from its launch, Raptivity has already won users in 12 out of the Fortune 100 companies.

Company Chief Managing Director (CMD) Vikas Joshi attributes the success of Raptivity to the continuous innovation in this product and an effective digital marketing strategy that has ensured a wide reach in a very short time.

Harbinger's product business will contribute almost 50 per cent to Harbinger Group's revenues by the next fiscal. And with the market only emerging, we expect this contribution to increase further, he said.

Harbinger's customers spanning over 25 countries, include multinationals like Cisco, Bank of America, Pepsico, Autodesk, Wells Fargo Bank, Aventis, John Deere, HSBC, British Gas and leading academic institutions like Harvard University, Michigan State University, Florida State University and Singapore Polytechnic.
