Godrej launches steam microwave oven

Chandigarh, Jan 8 (UNI) Home appliances maker Godrej Appliances today introduced for the first time in India, steam microwave oven.

''A revolutionary technology in microwave cooking, injects superheated steam into the entire oven chamber to prepare steamed dishes faster, while retaining the original flavour and nutrient value of the ingredients,'' Product Group Head Himanshu Jain told mediapersons at the launch here.

''Not only this new technology provides an uniform and gentle applications of heat to all kinds of food to keep them soft and moist, it also helps to remove excess fat from chicken,'' he added.

The 23 litre steam microwave would be availble in the region at an introductory price of Rs 14,990.

Mr Jain said, ''As steamed food are becoming more and more popular in the Indian diet, we are confident that Godrej Microsteam will be well recieved in the market.'' UNI
