Chennai, Jan 8: Leading tyre manufacturer Dunlop India Limited is all set to restart production at its Ambattur factory here.

Talking to UNI today, corporate communication in-charge D Nandi said "we are going to restart our production in a big way at Chennai after a gap of nearly two months".

Apart from this, Dunlop is also likely to enter an agreement with the State Trading Corporation (STC) for the supply of raw materials.

Mr Nandi further said the Ambattur factory was totally re-structured to resume production in a better way.

According to the Dunlop officials sources, the company restarted its production in August 2006, but shut down due to electricity problem.

However, power supply was resumed in December following an order by the Madras High Court.

Sources also added that the company had faced some issues relating to raw material supplies.

"But now the arrangement with STC would address this problem", sources added.
