Car in no-park zone causes panic in Srinagar
Srinagar, Jan 8 (UNI) Panic gripped the uptown and traffic on the Srinagar-Airport route was suspended after rumours spread that a car with a bomb planted inside it was parked on Indira Gandhi road at Hyderpora.
Official sources said traffic on the Srinagar-Airport route was suspended after a car was seen parked in the no-park zone at Hyderpora on the Indira Gandhi road today.
The bomb disposal squad was immediately summoned after the entire area was sealed.
Later, no bomb was found in the car.
Militants had triggered a number of car bombs in the same area in the past. A BSF bus was also targetted in the same area last year causing injuries to 25 personnel.
