BSF shot dead two Bangladeshi smugglers

Bongaon, Jan 09(UNI) Two youths were killed when Border Security Force(BSF)personnel opened fire at Banyaberia near Indo- Bangladesh border in North 24 Parganas district early today.

Official sources said both the victims who were allegedly involved in an international cattle smuggling racket were killed on the spot after they were spotted by the BSF moving suspisiously near the international border. About ten other smugglers,all belived to be Bangladeshi nationals,however,fled under the cover of darkness.

Later the bodies of both the smugglers were recovered and sent for post mortem,the sources said adding that eleven cows which the smugglers had left behind were seized and later handed over to the local police.
