BJP's mass movement against price rise, terrorism
Patna, Jan 8: The BJP has decided to launch mass movement to sensitise people against escalating prices, terrorism and the Centre's 'Muslim appeasement' policy from January 27 to February 16.
BJP state president Radahmohan Singh and spokesperson Kiran Ghai told newspersons here that Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Road Construction Minister Nandkishore Yadav, former Union Minister Dr C.P.Thakur, party's national spokesperson and MP Ravishankar Prasad and other senior leaders would lead mass awareness yatras from six places.
He said the women's wing of the party would form human chains at all district headquarters on February 8 against soaring prices.
Farmers' court (Kisan adalat) would also be held at block levels from March to April for sensitising them. The party would organise 'fill jail' campaign in May against these issues.
He outlined the strategies adopted for expansion and strengthening of the BJP and informed that three zonal offices would be set up one each at Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Gaya and 11 regional offices opened for better functioning of the party.
To a query he said during the past 15 years leaders of the ruling party were actually above the law and bureaucrats too were of the same opinion. ''But now the situation has taken a U-turn and every one, whether politician or officer, is scared of the law,'' he added.
