TTE rapes minor on train

Katni, MP, Jan 7 (UNI) A train ticket examiner (TTE) has been arrested for raping a 15-year-old on board the Triveni Express bound for Singrauli from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said today.

Last night, the victim and her friend Rajkumar Gupta were en route to Chopan village near Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district. TTE Doodhnath Singh fined them Rs 100 for tavellinging without tickets. Later, Singh took the girl to an air-conditioned coach and committed the crime.

Mr ''Gupta, who hails from Guna district's Vijayraghogarh, was also apprehended for eloping with the victim. East-Central Railway official Singh was posted at Dhanbad,'' GRP Superintendent J P Ahirwar told UNI
