Tension prevailed for some time in Mysore City
Mysore, Jan 7 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time when three Vishwa Hindu Parishat activities were assaulted by a group of people in the City today.
Police said that the incident took place when the activists were returning after attending Virat Hindu Samavesha organised. However, by timely intervention police brought the situation under control and convened meeting of both the groups who were about to clash.
Heavy police bandobust was arranged in vulnerable points.
Meanwhile, a section of the people staged protest demonstration against the Samavesha in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue, while counter demonstration was also held supporting the Samavesha.
