Swarn Samaj Party to contest coming assembly polls
Bhopal, Jan 7 (UNI) The Swarn Samaj Party (SSP) will forge electoral alliances while fielding candidates for assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand.
''The alliance partners will be the Bahujan Samaj Party, the (former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti-led) Bharatiya Jan Shakti and others,'' SSP's newly-appointed President Archana Shrivastav told reporters here today.
Alleging that reservation was the root of India's problems, she added the policy was fuelling casteism and not Indianness.
''With the objective of generating public awareness against reservation, a 'Sankalp' Rally will be conducted on January 23, which is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary. Besides, a SSP membership campaign will be launched on that day,'' Ms Shrivastav added.
