Pulse Polio: 66,000 booths set up in AP
Hyderabad, Jan 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh government has set up around 66,000 booths to administer polio drops to children in the state.
Of the 66,000, 2,034 were transit points set up at bus and railway stations and 1,849 mobile booths.
State Health and Finance Minister K Roasaih inagurated the Pulse Polio Programme (PPP) in the capital city.
Inaugurating the PPP, Mr Rosaiah said the government was taking all steps to prevent the spread of polio in the state by conducting awareness camps and administering polio vaccine to children in remote villages.
Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who is on an official tour, inaugurated the PPP in Visakhapatnam.
