Puducherry Govt reconstitute committee on relief operations

Puducherry, Jan 7(UNI) The Puducherry administration today re-constituted the committee to monitor and review the relief operations in the tsunami affected areas of Puducherry and Karaikal regions.

According to an official release here, a 30-member committee was re-constituted under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister. All the five ministers, legislators from the coastal constituencies, two parliament members from Puducherry, chief secretary, secretary finance, collectors of Puducherry and karaikal districts and director of fisheries were among the members of the committee, while the relief and rehabilitation commissioner is the member secretary.

The committee would review and monitor the rehabilitation works at the tsunami affected areas in Puducherry and Karaikal regions by conducting meetings at regular intervals.
