Naxals kill official

Jagdalpur, Jan 7 (UNI) A forest committee chairman was killed and a forest guard injured today by naxals at Bardela village in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, the police said.

About 30 forest department employees and villagers were logging at the village when some rebels opened fire.

Pandu Kursa died on the spot while Rathram Patel was rushed here for treatment.
