Naga Hoho appeals for peace in Shamator

Kohima, Jan 07 (UNI) Terming the ongoing inter-tribal feud between the Yimchunger and Tikhir over tribe separation as 'heart-rending', the Naga Hoho today beseeched both the tribes to find an amicable solution.

In a communique issued by Naga Hoho publicity secretary P Chuba Ozukum here said that the long pending issue had to be solved soon.

Lauding the state machineries for bringing the situation under control, he had appealed the state government to work out on strategies and formulate policies to bring out a permanent solution to the hostility between the two tribes.

The Naga Hoho further denounced the physical and mental assault meted to Rev K.Luruo, executive secretary of Chakhesand Baptist Church Council (CBCC) and members of NBCC Peace Committee by two NSCN-IM cadres in Phek district recently.
