Mandrax tablets worth Rs 2.25 cr seized
Mumbai, Jan 7 (UNI) Police have seized Mandrax tablets, worth Rs 2.25 crore in the international market, from a person at Mankhurd on the city's eastern suburbs, in the wee hours.
Acting on a tip off, police raided the residence of Mohammed Gulam and recovered the Mandrax tablets, totally weighing around 100 kilograms and valued at about Rs 2.25 crore in the international market, deputy commissioner of police Niket Kaushik informed yesterday.
Mr Kaushik said the involvement of a drugs syndicate is suspected but he refused to divulge further details.
