Jute Fair in chennai

Chennai, Jan 7 (UNI) A week long jute fair will be held here from January 9, under the joint auspices of Jute Manufactures Development Council (JMDC) and National Centre for Jute Diversification, with a view to encourage the jute entrepreneurs in their market promotion efforts.

In a press release here today Market Promotion Officer of JMDC T Ayyappan said the fair would be an exclusive exposition of eco-friendly lifestyle jute products.

The fair would aim at creating awareness about the products made of jute - the national fibre which contributed lasting solution to ecological problems.

He said more than 36 stalls from all over India would display variety products in the fair.

Union Minister of State for Textiles E V K S Elangovan would inaugurate the fair, he added.
