Four varsities move into semis

Vijayawada, Jan 7 (UNI) Guru Nanak Dev University, Kurukshetra University, Acharya Nagarjuna University and the University of Mumbai moved into the semi-finals of the All India Inter-Zonal Kabaddi Women Tournament being played at the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus in Guntur today.

In the second and third round league matches Guru Nanak University trounced M D University Rohtak 35-12 and drew with Univerity of Mumbai 20-20 in a see-saw match.

Krukshetra University defeated Punjab University 58-34 and lost to Acharya Nagarjuna University 34-14.

Similarly, Acharya Nagarjuna University beat Shivaji University 50-21 in the second round and Kurukshetra University 34-14 in the third round.

University of Mumbai outwitted University of Pune 20-12 in second round and drew with Guru Nanak University 20-20 in the third round.

In the semi-finals in knock-out phase to be played tomorrow, Guru Nanak Dev University will take on Kurukshetra University and Acharya Nagarjuna University play with University of Mumbai.
