London, Jan 7 (UNI) Sven Goran Eriksson and David Beckham may be re-united if the ex-England coach, who will take over as the new manager of Marseille, convinces the former captain to join the French club where he will be assured of a place in the starting line-up.

According to a 'News of the World' report, Eriksson will make a bid to bring Beckham to France after taking over as manager of the club this week and has told the deposed England captain that a move to Marseille will help him in regaining his place in the national side.

Beckham has been offered a two-year extension at his current club Real Madrid but the star right-winger remains undecided on whether to stay with the Galacticos or move somewhere else.

The superstar's stint with Madrid has been ordinary to say the least and the team's failure to win any silverware for the past two seasons has also affected Beckham's standing.

Known for his curling free-kicks, Beckham has been largely used as a substitute this season much to his frustration.

After the disappointment, the 31-year-old is also looking at options in the US where he has been offered a five million pound a year salary by LA Galaxy but crossing the shores may mean an end to his England career.

Much to his disappointment, none of the big names in England like Chelsea and his former club Manchester United are interested in him and so far offers have come only from Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspurs.

Beckham will announce his decision about the future by the end of this month after studying every option available to him.
