Doc nabbed for aiding naxals
Raipur, Jan 7 (UNI) A private doctor who provided treatment to naxals in Chhattisgarh and neighbouring Maharashtra, besides supplying the rebels with medicine over a long period, has been taken into custody in Rajnandgaon district.
Dr Sukhnandan Kanwar ran a clinic in Metepar township and was under surveillance for quite sometime, Police Headquarters sources told UNI here today.
Besides medicine that is used for treating encounter-linked injuries, bills for several contraceptives were found. The physician could not furnish any satisfactory explanation for such large-scale purchase.
