Chouhan administers pulse polio drops to children
Bhopal, Jan 7 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan administered pulse polio drops to 18 children at his residence here today as a part of the pulse polio campaign.
On the occasion, Mr Chouhan asked health officials and doctors to ensure that every child below five years of age received polio drops.
He directed them to take seriously the work to administer polio drops to children -- who were unable to receive polio drops today -- at homes tomorrow and on January 10.
Principal Secretary (Health) Madanmohan Uppadhyay and Health Commissioner Rajesh Rajora provided detailed information about pulse polio campaign in the state.
Health Director Yogiraj Sharma, state immunisation officer A N Mittal, Bhopal CMHO B S Auhri, civil surgeon D K Verma and child disease specialist A K Choudhary were present.
