Bangalore Lions snap Hyd Sultans

Chennai, Jan 7 (UNI) Defending champions Bangalore Lions notched up their second successive win defeating Hyderabad Sultans 3-0 in the third ESPN-Premier Hockey league (PHL) here this evening.

After the first two quarters failed to produce any goals, Pakistani star Rehan Butt drew the first blood by scoring in the third quarter.

Dutch player Sander-Vander made it 2-0 in the fourth quarter before Len Aiyappa rounded off the tally few minutes from close to complete the rout.

Bangalore Lions earned three points for the win and led the table with six points from two matches and Hyderabad Sultans suffered their second successive loss.
