Anaka beats Saumya, finishes third in British Open Junior Squash
Chennai, Jan 7 (UNI) In an all-Indian affair, Anaka Alankamony thrashed Saumya Kakri to finish third in the girls under-13 event of the British Junior Open Squash Championship at Sheffield.
Anaka did short work of Saumya 9-4, 9-2, 9-3 in 21 minutes, thus avenging her defeat at the Junior Nationals last year.
Earlier, Anaka lost to top seed Nour El Sherbeny of Egypt 4-9, 5-9, 2-9, while another Egyptian, Salma Esmat, trounced Saumya 9-3, 9-2,9-6 in the semi-finals.
