Aides flee with history-sheeter after killing cops

Sultanpur, Jan 7 (UNI) Henchmen of a history-sheeter shot dead two policemen aboard Unchahar Express before escaping along with him in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

The incident occured at Talaqzuri railway station under Munshiganj police station area, while constables Man Singh and Veer Bahadur were taking a prisoner to Pratapgarh district jail after a court hearing in Rae Bareli yesterday.

Superintendent of Police Dawa Sherpa today said notorious criminal Santosh Pandey alias Sibbu was carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head. Several cases were pending against the hardened criminal.

A hunt was on to nab the accused.
