Snow likely in some Nothern states

Pune, Jan 6 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Dry weather will prevail over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Lakshadweep.

Sever cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Punjab and Haryana. Cold conditions also prevailed in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Uttaranchal, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal and south interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Orissa.

They were appreciably above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

The temperatures were above normal in some parts of east Rajasthan and coastal Andhra Pradesh, while they were normal over the rest of the country.
