Six-year-old raped by coolie

Rajahmundry, Jan 6: A six-year-old girl studying in LKG was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Ralli Village about ten km from Athreyapuram in the District.

Police yesterday said Vella Brahmam (24), a coolie, enticed the girl to a nearby house and allegedly raped her.

Hearing her loud cries, the girl's mother rushed to the spot to find her child profusely bleeding.

She has been rushed to the Kothapeta Government Hospital for treatment. A search is on for Brahmam who is absconding.
