Six labourers killed in Gaya

Gaya, Jan 6 (UNI) At least six labourers, including two women, were killed when a portion of a hill caved in during digging near Bhojpur Chakraghat in this district today.

District police superintendent A K Jain said the victims were employed for digging by a contractor Ram Uchit Singh.

In view of the tense situation after the incident, senior police officers were camping at Bhojpur Chakraghat, he added.

The victims were identified as--Ranju Devi, Kari Kumari, Rajesh Kumar, Vijay Rajvanshi, Bachhu Manjhi and Nanhak Rajvanshi-- all residents of the district.
