Hardoi, Jan 6 (UNI) The ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh accused the opposition of unnecessarily politicising the Noida killings to increase its vote bank.

Talking to mediapersons here, UP Public Works Department Minister and senior SP leader Shiv Pal Singh Yadav said the state police had successfully worked out the Dr Kavita Rani and Nithari cases but rowed to pressure from various quarters, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav sought a CBI probe.

Replying to a question, Mr Yadav said, ''the CM has other important works ... to do. There is hardly anything left for CBI to investigate in Nithari cace. Mr Mulayam Singh will only visit Noida, if required.'' Asked if state Primary Education Minister Kiran Pal Singh would resign over his alleged involvement in Kavita case, Mr Yadav said since the case has been referred to the CBI, UP government has no role to play, adding, ''Kiran Pal Singh is only under an umbrella of suspicion. Nothing has been proved so far. Its is just the conspiracy to malign the 'pious' image of the present government.'' The SP-led UP government is pertinacious to achieve its aim of developing Uttar Pradesh into 'Uttam Pradesh' but its eems that opposition has pet-aversion for development works. It is seeing the achievements of the state with a jaundiced eye, he alleged.
