One crore children to be administered polio drops in MP

Bhopal, Jan 6 (UNI) About one crore children below five years would be administered polio drops across Madhya Pradesh tomorrow.

According to official sources, district-wise distribution of 1.42 crore vaccines had been arranged.

Under the three-day immunisation drive, polio drops would be administered at polio booths on the first day, while it would be administered in houses on the second and third day.

About 63,095 polio immunisation booths were set up in various districts besides 2,269 transit booths and 1,848 mobile teams.

Besides, 10,164 supervisors and 1.60 lakh workers were appointed to make the campaign successful. A state-level control room had been set up at IEC Bureau in the state capital for exchange of information.

Special transit booths would function in bus stands and railway stations, while mobile teams would visit under-construction colonies, factory premises and forest villages.
