Nitish rules out cabinet expansion
Patna, Jan 6 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today categorically ruled out expansion of his 27 member council of ministers in near future and said that there was no grievance BJP among legislators over the functioning of state government.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Kumar said that expansion of ministry was a routine affair and it would be done as and when warranted. Any decision on expansion of state cabinet would be taken at the meeting of coordination committee of constituent parties of National Democratic Alliance(NDA), he added.
While dismissing reports of any sort of dissidence among BJP legislators over the alleged high-handedness of top bureaucrats, he said that some BJP MLAs had voiced concerns about it which would be looked into in due course.
Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi clarified that there was no discontentment among his party MLAs over the functioning of the NDA government and said some grievances raised in this connection could be best described as 'suggestions' for the government.
