Nadal to meet Malisse in semis

Chennai, Jan 5 (UNI) Top seed and world number two Rafael Nadal will meet third seed Xavier Malisse, while former Champion Carlos Moya of Spain will take on unseeded Stefan Koubek of Austria in the semifinals of the Chennai Open ATP tennis tournament here tomorrow.

In the quarterfinals here tonight, Nadal streamrolled David Sanguinetti of Italy 6-3, 6-2 while Xavier dropped a set, before getting the better of sixth seeded Fabrice Santoro of France 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.

In other matches, Moya overcame big serving Croatian Ivo Karlovic 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) and Koubek prevailed over fourth seeded Julien Benneteau 6-1, 6-2 late tonight.
