Mob causes minor damage to shrine property

Godhra, Jan 6 (UNI) Police have heightened ''bandobust'' around a religious shrine here after a mob caused some minor damage to the property yesterday.

Police said the trustees had erected a wall, with vents, around the shrine.

A section of the community, however, was barred from offering prayers. Angered at this, some members of this section damaged the vents on tha wall. The damage is estimated to be a mere Rs 500, police said.
