Maratha Warriors win, beat Chandigarh team

Chennai, Jan 6 (UNI) Maratha Warriors defeated Sher-e-Jalandhar while Orissa Steelers prevailed over Chandigarh Dynamos by an identical 1-0 margin in the Professional Hockey League (PHL) at the astro turf stadium here today.

Maratha Warriors's lone field goal came through Shivender Singh (silver goal), in the first half of the extra time.

The Warriors however, gained two points to one by sher-e-Jalandhar.
