Marandi praises Nitish for development in Bihar

Jamshedpur, Jan 6 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and president of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(Democratic) Babulal Marandi today lauded Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for taking the state on the path of development.

Talking to mediapersons here Mr Marandi said, ''Mr Kumar is doing well and after the 15-year misrule of the RJD, the Bihar chief minister had a tough job to restart all the developmental work.

Considering the situation Mr Kumar should be appreciated for his initiatives.'' Lambasting the UPA government in Jharkhand, Mr Marandi said the present government was no better than its predecessor, ''rather the situation had worsened during the regime of Madhu Koda''.

''This government should not last after March this year and if it continues, the people should dislodge the corrupt government,'' he said.

Mr Marandi, who resigned from the BJP and the Koderma Lok Sabha seat to protest the 'corruption' in the previous BJP-led NDA government, said unless the illegal transfer-posting of bureaucrats and police was stopped corruption would rule the roost.

Referring to the induction of father of sacked Forward Bloc MLA Bhanu Pratap Sahi in the Madhu Koda ministry, Mr Marandi said such things fomented corruption and charged the junior Sahi, who was behind bars earlier, with taking bribe for transfer and posting of bureaucrats and police officials.

Reiterating that the mid-term poll was the only solution for a stable government, he said the JVM was ready to face them.
